5 Tips for Maintaining Hydrated Skin

Whilst water is key to hydration, drinking water isn’t enough to maintaining healthy, radiant skin.

So, we’ve listed our top 5 tips to incorporate into your daily routine so you can wake up with healthy, naturally glowy skin every day!

1. Use a Hyaluronic Acid Serum

Hyaluronic acid is extremely effective in replenishing dehydrated skin. This skincare ingredient acts as a moisture magnet, drawing moisture to the skin and retaining it, leaving your skin feeling and looking hydrated, plump and healthy. Our favourite product is the SkinCeuticals Hyaluronic Acid Intensifier as it amplifies the skin’s hyaluronic acid levels by 30%!

2. Exfoliate regularly

If you’re not already exfoliating regularly, you’re missing out on a host of skincare benefits. Exfoliating is essential to maintaining soft, hydrated skin as it helps remove dead skin cells which have built up over time that hinder the level of product your skin can potentially absorb. Additionally, regular exfoliation speeds up the turnover rate to reveal newer, fresher, and healthier skin that’s radiant instead of dull.

3. Avoid hot water

Does your skin ever feel dry and tight after cleansing? Water that is too hot can strip your skin of the natural oils it produces, which is key to keeping your skin hydrated. Instead, use lukewarm water only when washing your face.

4. Protect your skin’s outer layer

Whether you love it or hate it, sunscreen is a crucial step in any skincare routine. It’s no secret that the sun dries your skin out even on cloudy or rainy days when the sun is far from sight depletes the skin’s supply of natural oils. That’s why your best line of defence is to apply sunscreen on a daily basis. Although you could use a separate sunscreen after your moisturizer, a facial moisturiser with at least 30 SPF (and broad-spectrum protection) will also do the trick.

5. Treat your skin to a professional skin rejuvenation treatment

The bySTELLA HydraFacial Treatment is the perfect way to treat your skin to ultimate hydration. This treatment uses patented technology to cleanse, extract, and hydrate skin. It clears dead skin cells, loosens pores, and preps them for extraction using a mix of glycolic acid, salicylic acid, and botanical extracts. You can expect to leave your HydraFacial treatment with a brighter complexion and glowing skin. Book a treatment here.

By incorporating these five tips to your routine you’re sure to see a noticeable difference to the hydration of your skin!
