How does Dermasweep differ from Hydrabrasion or Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion : only exfoliates

Hydrabrasions:  have a higher molecular weight so can’t be absorbed into lower layers of skin, therefore only work more topically

Dermasweep: exfoliates, circulates and infuses. Dermasweep cocktails are trans-dermally delivered into the skin.

What is the difference between Dermasweep and Microdermabrasion?

With micro-dermabrasion, patients might experience some discomfort during the treatment and some slight sensitivity afterwards. The main difference though is infusions. Microdermabrasion’s objective is simply to remove those dead skin cells. Dermasweep, however, also includes infusion therapy.

How does it work?

The unique Dermasweep system works in three stages; exfoliation, circulation and infusion.

What are other popular combination treatments?

The advantage of combining these treatments in one session is that the DermaSweep firms and cleans the outer layer of your skin, while Laser Genesis is designed to enhance by encouraging collagen growth, which firms from the deeper layers of the skin. What are the benefits of our Dermasweep treatment?

Skin texture and overall appearance is improved due to the combination of exfoliation, and hydration which stimulates blood flow, cleans out pores and removes skin debris, leaving your skin smoother and blemish-free.

How long does this treatment take?

Anywhere between 30 minutes to an hour as each treatment is tailored to each clients requirements and can be combined with other treatments.

Does Dermasweep treatment hurt?

It feels like a tiny vacuum is on your skin but doesn’t hurt one bit. The brustles are soft so there is no abrasive feeling to the treatment.

Is there any downtime?

Not at all. Immediately after the treatment your skin will be warm and have a pinkish glow for up to30 min to 24 hours. In most cases a mineral powder can be applied after the treatment to soften any rosiness and you can immediately return to your normal activities. However, we do advise that clients either wear a hat or avoid direct sunlight for a few days afterwards and use SPF to protect your skin and your results.

What to expect Immediately after the treatment?

It is very uncommon to have a reaction to this treatment beyond the result of a warm, pinkish glow that may last for up to 24 hours but can be covered with mineral makeup. However, it is advisable to avoid direct sun exposure and use SPF for at least a few days after your treatment.

How long will it take to see results?

The skin usually looks immediately brighter and refreshed, and feels plump and smooth. It can be done as a once off as a pre event skin booster. Otherwise the treatment can be repeated once every 4-8 weeks to maintain the skin. Maintenance can also be accentuated through the use of skin care or other treatments.

How long does Dermasweep last?

Typically results will be visible after the first treatment. More significant and long lasting benefits will require 3-5 treatments. Hyper-pigmentation, acne scars, fine lines and stretch marks will lessen gradually over a series of microdermabrasion treatments.
