Rock to pebbles’ refers to the picosecond laser treatment targeting large ink particles which respond better to a larger pulse duration. Whereas ‘pebbles to sand’ refers to nanosecond treatment of small ink particles which respond better to shorter pulse durations.
Essentially, the picosecond treatment breaks down the larger ink particles into smaller ‘pebbles’ and nanosecond treatments shatter these smaller ink particles to sand, removing the ink particles entirely.

– Green is the third most popular ink colour and 670nm is most effectively used on green ink.
